There are times when those left behind by the death of a loved one need to legally administer the property of the deceased in order to carry out the wishes of the deceased. This is called probating the estate in the case where a will exists or simply administering the estate when the person died without a will. A great majority of the time these proceedings are peaceful and carry out the law to insure the proper transfer of the deceased’s property to his heirs and beneficiaries. However, there are times when disputes can arise from whether there is a valid will or a determination of heirs to whether there was improper conduct with regard to the deceased’s property before their death.
